Recital Details
Recital Costume
- If you have not received your child's costume, all remaining costumes will arrive by April 30th.
- Some
costumes may need to be altered to fit. Try on your child's costume and
if needed, alter where needed. In most cases, alterations are simply
adjusting straps/shoulders or pants to correct length.
- Once costume is received place it on a hanger to wrinkle out.
Recital Picture Day
- The week of May 11th during your child's class, Kozak Photography will take your child's picture.
- Mothers must be present and we strongly encourage that you leave siblings at home.
- Students are
to arrive wearing their ballet or hip-hop costume with full-footed
tights, dance shoes and hair fixed according to their class
requirements. See class chart below.
- Purchase needed items from Artful Dancewear (75 & Walnut)

Rehearsal & Recital
- Saturday, May 16th
- Highland Park High School, Auditorium (4220 Emerson, Dallas, Texas 75205)
- Parking: Front of school, side streets and school parking garage on the east side of school.
- School Policy: Food & drink prohibited.

- Rehearsal Call Time: 9:00am
- Recital Call Time: 1:30pm (In line-up)
- Actual Recital Time: 2:00pm (Auditorium doors open at 1:30pm

Show #2 Schedule
- Rehearsal Call Time: 11:00am
- Recital Call Time: 4:30pm (In line-up)
- Actual Recital Time: 5:00pm (Auditorium doors open at 4:30pm)

- Monday 9:30, 10:15, 1:30
- Tuesday 1:30, 2:30

Rehearsal (Duration: 1 1/2 hour)
- Rehearsal Attire: Class dancewear with shoes, NO costumes.
- This is NOT a drop off, mothers must attend. NO siblings or guests.
- Upon arrival, find your class row # in the auditorium. See below class chart for row #.
- Backstage moms will be instructed to take classes to their line-up, all other moms will to stay in the auditorium.
- After students rehearse, mothers will go backstage to pick up your child or change their shoes for their 2nd dance.
- After your
child has completed their rehearsal they are to leave. Do not enter
back into the auditorium. No children in the audience during
rehearsal.
Recital (Duration: 1 1/2 hour)
- Students are to arrive with hair fixed and in first costume. See below class chart for your child's first dance.
- Drop off your child with the backstage moms in the hallway behind the stage.
- If your
child has 2 dances place their costume in the dressing room, all moms
are responsible for changing their child in between their dances.
Recital Seating
- Doors open 30 minutes prior to show time for parents and guests.
- No reserving
of seats at the rehearsal. Four seats per family may be saved when the
doors open. It is encouraged that guests should arrive no later than
10 minutes before show time.
- Special
Parent Seating: Selected seats on the first 3 rows will be reserved for
mom & dad only of each class to move to while your child is
dancing on stage.
- Staff Seating: Seats marked Dancing Angels Staff are prohibited.
Recital DVD
- We will have a professional videographer filming our recital.

Siblings
- If you have
multiple children in DA it is possible they are in different shows.
See above class schedule to determine if they are in different/same
shows.
- Different
Shows: Siblings will have two rehearsals and your guests will need to
attend both performances. They can opt to watch one show at its
entirety and only the dances of the other sibling for the second show.
- Same Show:
Mothers will need to review the below program line up in order to
assist both children. If siblings have back to back dances you'll want
to ask another mom to help you so you do not miss any dancing.
